Some demonstrators called for unilateral US disarmament, others for renewing arms control talks with the Soviet Union. It was a diverse coalition that had been pulled together by Ken Caldeira, a 25-year-old activist and computer geek. Back then he was paying the rent doing software consulting on Wall Street, but his passion for the environment would eventually lead him to become one of the nation's leading experts on global warming."

About the same time, 1982, Lowell Wood — then 41, at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory located in San Francisco, was the protégé of the brilliant inventor Edward Teller who invented the highly controversial "hydrogen bomb".
Lowell Wood was heading a secret team of young geniuses known as the "O Group". They were working with nukes (reviled by Caldeira and his fellow peaceniks) attempting to find new, more advanced uses for them.
At one point they came up with a plan which called for channeling the energy of a hydrogen bomb into controlled laser blasts that could "theoretically destroy enemy ballistic missiles from outer space".
While it sounded crazy, Wood and Teller's ideas had inspired President Reagan's famous "Star Wars" speech in which he introduced the Strategic Defense Initiative on March 23, 1983.
Today, some 25 years later, Caldeira, calls Wood,"one of my best friends".
The two had collaborated on strategies for a process known as geoengineering: Large-scale, deliberate modification of the planet to counteract the consequences of increasing concentrations of greenhouse gasses.
The supposed "Global Climate Crisis" has made for strange bedfellows.
Caldeira's journey from "devout environmentalist" to "would be geoengineer" led to a partnership that he would have abhored in his younger years.

FEMA Flood Insurance Scam – Backdoor Redistribution of Wealth of American Sovereigns

Calveras, CA — FEMA now (illegally) requiring millions more home owners, who are not even in flood zones, to purchase costly flood insurance binders for their homes. FEMA is conducting a nationwide scam and no home owner is immune because of the power and reach that has been given to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). For those who are not savvy with the real estate market, you should first begin this story with the understanding that ALL flood insurance coverage is underwritten by the federal government via the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), which just so happens to be a division of FEMA. You should also know that flood insurance was not readily available to the "private" insurance market for many years.
A policy research group study has found that the National Flood Insurance Program, a division of FEMA, primarily benefits wealthy homeowners who build in high-risk coastal areas at the expense of U.S. taxpayers.
This new flood insurance will have an increasingly detrimental affect in areas where one would not normally expect flooding to occur. The cost for flood insurance in these areas is 5 to 6 times that of the same flood insurance for areas which flood regularly. It appears FEMA has discovered a new revenue stream which can be tapped that will never tap back (if FEMA is left to its own devices) and local governments have found a way around directly increasing their tax base and hiding under the cover of the Federal Government.
In a post by David Tunno, a writer for "ThePineTree.Net", David stated:
"Valley Springs, CA…At the request of Rancho Calaveras residents Bob and Char Stanton in early January of 2011, I was asked to look into the actions by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in preparation for a meeting with FEMA representative Kathleen Schaefer and others on January 26th at the County offices and to represent the Stanton’s in that meeting. My investigation of the facts surrounding the Stantons’ example and others in the County revealed what appears to be a massive fraud on the part of FEMA, not just on Calaveras residents, but on potentially millions across the U.S…"
One Michigan man has decided to fight back. His name, Keith Roy Haley Jr. Keith is fighting back and challenging the new FEMA flood maps saying
"Here is my situation and it may be the same with you. Just before Christmas 2010 I received a notice from my bank Wells Fargo. Needless to say I thought it might be a notification for the next year on how much my escrow would be.. needless to say I was surprised and upset."
He even has his own webblog to help him spread the word about this issue.
By redrawing the flood zone maps to include such a large number of new homes, FEMA has cast a very wide net over potentially "millions of property owners" who represent virtually "zero" risk of exposure. Wether the maps are accurate or not is of no concern to FEMA because they just want more power to collect tax revenues from the surfs. In this way, FEMA can build its reserves for the next disaster event, never paying one thin dime out of pocket because it is all paid for by millions of new policy holders to whom FEMA will never have to pay out a dime in coverage. All those new premiums represent a prime example of "taxation through regulation" on a massive scale. FEMA has used one of the oldest tricks in the book in achieving its goal – the proverbial carrot on a stick.

Safeway Supermarket Sells Out to CPS on American Sovereignty
New Public Enemy? I Can Smell the Boycott Already…
HONOLULU — October 27, 2011 — Former Air Force staff sergeant, Nicole Leszczynski is arrested at a Safeway… Her "crime"? Grand Chicken Salad Sandwhich Theft… 2 counts no less! If you have somehow not already heard about this insane scene at the Safeway in Honolulu, here is the boiled down version (We will then be analyzing the story in depth).
Nicole, 28, and Marcin, 33, forgot to pay for two sandwiches that together cost $5. They were handcuffed and searched, and later released on $50 bail each.
Nicole Leszczynski was out doing the grocery shopping with her husband and their 2 year old daughter, Zofia, in tow. Mind you now, that Nicole Leszczynski is 30 weeks pregnant (that's well into her third trimester)!
So mom gets hungry and grabs two chicken salad sandwhiches to munch on while shopping. She saved the wrappers so she could pay for them but forgot about them at the checkout. She proceeds to leave the store with her family and is then stopped by the store security guards and questioned about the sandwhiches.
Next thing they are led to an upstairs room in the store. Expecting to talk it out they instead were told it was "against store policy" to allow them to pay for an item once it left the store… Wait-Wut?!? Since when has this been Safeway policy or any store's policy for that matter? How ludicrous is a policy like that?!? Of course its ludicrous because it's not true! They made it up!
The sandwhiches were priced at $2.50 each! All this trouble for five stinkin bucks!?!?
So anyway, I digress, After they were publicly humiliated and lied to, they incurred further trauma when they were arrested with handcuffs, taken to jail, and told their daughter would be taken into the custody of Child Protection Services (CPS)…
"The security guard said we were being charged with shoplifting."
A woman from the State Child Welfare Services arrived to take Zofia, who turns 3 in December, away…
So… I have worked loss prevention for retail stores before. Never once have I seen a petty shoplifting charge send someone to jail. It has always been the practice to make the culprit pay for the stolen item(s), give them a citation, and a fine… End of story and it goes on their permenant criminal record.
What I can't figure out is when did we start ignoring the 14th Amendment and allowing Grocery Store "Officials" and their tin badge minions to utterly kidnap our children without cause or due process? Maybe its just me but I thought the Constitution and the Bill of Rights ment something in America… Am I wrong?
Yeah I must be wrong because I thought we lived in America, you know Land of the Free, Home of the Brave… Because this doesn't seem like America if stuff like this is happening inside our borders. Does this sound "NORMAL" to you?
"I didn't want Zofia to be scared because she's never spent a night away from us. She didn't have her stuffed animal. She didn't have her toothbrush."
Nicole tried her best to hold her composure until Zofia was taken from her and spirited out of the store.
The couple was handcuffed and driven separately to police headquarters a few blocks away, where they were searched, had their mug shots taken and then released after paying bail. A police officer escorted them back to the store — which banned them for a year, Leszczynski said — where they picked up their groceries and walked home just before midnight.
Zofia was returned to her parents after 18 hours of seperation from them.
As far back as you can recall, can you think of any one time this kind of thing has EVER happened, to anyone you know or know of? Doesn't this story show how this couples' Dignity, Sovereignty, and Power was so easily usurped because they did not know their rights? This is all too common in America nowadays. Too many people get educations that lack in the knowledge of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights!
This totally stinks of DHS (Department of Homeland Security)! Yet another "public" stunt (publicity stunt) to make the sheeple behave or else. It is also very characteristic of how CPS steals children for their black market.
Oh and now, get this, "Safeway is declining to press charges against a Honolulu couple whose arrests over stolen sandwiches led state workers to take custody of their 2-year-old daughter and sparked nationwide outrage." Oh how nice of them…
Well of course they're not going to press charges, that one just got a little to hot for them, you know bad press and all that…
Grocery shopping is a chore that now brings some anxiety, Nicole said, adding that she has read countless comments online criticizing her for eating before paying.
Brings some anxiety? How about "Brings about the rage"? Is this really all these people are going to do about how they were treated?
Earlier in the followup story Nicole was quoted saying
"I feel relieved that the charges are being dropped and he kind of did make an apology," she said. "Now that we have our daughter back and we're not in jail, that's our biggest concern."
It seems like this is going to just be dropped! An American family is completely traumatized from Parents to children, their rights trampled, and they STILL have to appear in court! This is not something that should be overlooked so easily. So Safeway scars this family for life over $5.00, costs this family not only their current court fees, possibly a fine, but even more ridiculous is what they will pay in therapy down the line all because of this one incident. And now Safeway gets off with a flimsy apology at best?
And wait a minute but where is her husband in all this? Why has he not made a statement? Does he not know that one man with courage is a majority? He should be speaking out about this outrage!
There is punitive damge here! These people need to be reimbursed for what they went through! Someone needs to be held responsible for this complete and utter outrage! If we do not penalize the pirate then he is sure to strike this town again and again wouldn't you think?

"Cash Transactions Banned by Louisiana "So Called Law" Louisiana H.B. 195 – Act #389" – "Government Takes Private Property Without Due Process" says Thad D. Ackel, Jr. Esq.
This summer, the State Legislature and Governor of Louisiana passed a law that bans individuals and businesses from transacting in cash if they are considered a “secondhand dealer”. House Bill 195 of the 2011 Regular Session (Act 389) broadly defines a secondhand dealer to include “… Anyone, other than a non-profit entity, who buys, sells, trades in or otherwise acquires or disposes of junk or used or secondhand property more frequently than once per month from any other person, other than a non-profit entity, shall be deemed as being in the business of a secondhand dealer. ” The law then states that “A secondhand dealer shall not enter into any cash transactions in payment for the purchase of junk or used or secondhand property. Payment shall be made in the form of check, electronic transfers, or money order issued to the seller of the junk or used or secondhand property…” The broad scope of this definition can essentially encompass everyone; from your local flea market vendors and buyers to a housewife purchasing goods on ebay or craigslist, to a group of guys trading baseball cards, they could all be considered secondhand dealers. Lawmakers in Louisiana have effectively banned its citizens from freely using United States legal tender [... more ...]

This law gives a very broad definition of who qualifies as a "Secondhand Dealer". Included in the definition is…
Anyone, other than a non-profit entity, who buys, sells, trades in or otherwise acquires or disposes of junk or used or secondhand property more frequently than once per month from any other person, other than a non-profit entity, shall be deemed as being in the business of a secondhand dealer. ” The law then states that “A secondhand dealer shall not enter into any cash transactions in payment for the purchase of junk or used or secondhand property.
What does this "Act" mean for America? This is the establishment's attempt to begin the push for a cashless society! OK, so why should I be worried about moving into a cashless society you ask? There is a great deal to be worried about if this becomes the new law of the land… This one act alone will give ALL control of your purchasing power to the central banks. It is these banks who will then use this law to DECIDE for YOU what you can and cannot buy, sell, or trade. This is the total and complete control of "We the People". If you do anything against the required norms the establishment sets forth, they can just "Suspend or Delete" your cashless account thereby rendering you powerless to eat, work, travel, shop (yes ladies your shopping will be controlled), or just plain survive at the very least. This means that you WILL do as you are told or you will be simply "ERASED"! You will not be able to buy nor sell unless you do as you are told by the Central Banks (i.e. the central governing powers). This one Act alone Louisiana H.B. 195 – Act #389 could be the final death blow to American Sovereignty and ultimately World Freedom…

October 15, 2011 – a Saturday, approximately 23 – 24 OWS protestors were "locked inside" and arrested at 55 LaGuardia Place CitiBank branch in Greenwich Village, in New York, most often referred to as "The Village". The Village is a large residential neighborhood located near the west side of Lower Manhattan in New York City.
A freelance photographer and actor Marshall Garrett just happened to be amongst the crowd. Garrett has a bank account with JPMorgan Chase & Co. also known as Chase or Chase Manhattan Bank, Garrett made earlier plans to close his account with Chase, then head over to the big OWS Times Square event later that evening.
Garrett ended up side-tracking his plans to help a crew of protestors looking for more people to join a CitiBank protest, Garrett and three of his friends went along for the ride. While there, he was arrested (in the CitiBank lobby), and spent a day and a half in custody.
Garrett agreed to a telephone interview with Village Voice (blogs.villagevoice.com). Here's an edited transcript of that conversation with Steven Thrasher of Village Voice as posted by Village Voice.
Thrasher: How did you get involved with what happened on Saturday?
Garrett: With the Occupy movement in general, I've had a lot of viewpoints. I have friends who work with the things Occupy Wall Street is against, and I have a lot of friends who are on the other side. I've followed what's been happening, and watched a lot of the videos. The day before [the Citi arrests], that Friday, I decided to check out the actual rally near Wall Street.
A bunch of my friends were staying there overnight. That's when I first showed up, and I knew I wanted to throw myself into the whole thing. The next day, I originally was going to go straight to Times Square. But by the time me and my friends got together, we decided to join the General Assembly, and they wanted to make a statement towards financial institutions.
We met at Washington Square Park. And we wanted to talk about, you know, entering the banks. But we made it an effort to not be violent, or extremely disruptive of the banks we were protesting. We chose to go to a Chase and a CitiBank near Washington Square Park, and we were very, very careful in planning it. We talked and didn't want to create any violence, but we wanted to create a scene that would get our point across to everyone. That's what planned actions have historically been. We're a very smart, very, very peaceful group of people. We didn't want it to turn violent, or into the mass arrest which it did. We planned to stay until the moment we were told to leave or we'd be arrested, and then leave.
So we split into two groups. I was going to go to Chase, because I have an account there and I was going to close it. Part of the planning involved closing down our accounts. But we needed more people to support the Citi action, so me and three of my friends decided to go to Citi.
Thrasher: How big was your group?

Garrett: It was about 27, 28 of us. When we got to the bank, we marched in, and clapped, and had a meeting. We had an open forum, and we actually tried to involve the bank employees, if they wished. And a few people talked about student loans and what debt was doing to them as individuals, and what could be changed about that. Unilike a lot of the reports, it was very respectful. We told the employees that we wanted them to keep their jobs and we were respectful. And they asked us to leave.
But legally, we're allowed to stay until the cops come and say, if you don't leave you'll be arrested. But what was unknown to us and to a lot of people that day, including those in Times Square, was that there were undercover cops already there, paid to be disruptive and to be loud. One undercover cop present [at Citi] was louder than the entire group.
Thrasher: How did you know he was an undercover cop?
Garrett: He arrested one of the protestors outside, and slammed her into the wall, and pushed her back into the bank. We all saw him at the precinct with us. He was laughing with the fellow white shirt cops, telling them about what we'd been saying, basically. It was a bit startling how inside their information was – how they were being paid to go to these protests and put us in situations where we'd be arrested and not be able to leave.
Anyway, after that, they announced they were closing the doors. But they were closing the doors as they said this. They pushed everyone -
Thrasher: "They" who? Bank security?
Garrett: Yeah, the bank security, along with the undercover officer, pushed us back and locked the doors. They would not allow us to leave, which is illegal, and said the cops are on the way and you are all arrested.
At that point, right before we left, three people who came with us were gone. That's why it was 24 arrests.
Thrasher: How were they able to leave?
Garrett: They left when the bank teller first asked us to leave. Everyone there but me and my two friends had a Citi account. But nothing was able to happen because they immediately locked us in. They didn't care if we were customers or not. Then the police started to show up. After about 15 minutes, there were about 100 to 150 people outside, and lots of cameras. And the cops tried to block coverage by pushing people away from the bank who had cameras.
From that point, they arrested us all, and they took us outside and put us in vans, and the situation was quite weird. The white coats were in the bank, patting the officers on the back, saying "Good job, good job." And all I could think was, this is in a lot of ways illegal. I don't know how they could say you're doing a good job when they are illegally arresting protestors!
So after that, we were taken to a place that seemed to train officer who just got on the force. We were put in flex cuffs for the entire ride. We went to One Police Plaza, I believe, and our photos were taken, and our IDs were taken, and our stuff was put in bags and taken into custody. My arresting officer said it would last two to three hours at most, and we'd be out the same day. And that was not in fact true. We were placed in holding, and the paperwork processing every prisoner wasn't done until 11 o'clock.
Thrasher: What time did you go in?
Garrett: It was about 2:30. We didn't get to the facility until 4:00, because they took a lot of time taking our Polaroids. Then we were patted down, and our money had to be checked. They were being purposefully slow to keep us from going to Times Square. We were in the holding area for a long time. Paperwork took four hours that normally takes an hour. There was a lot of relaxing on the officers' parts, a lot of laughing and deciding to be very slow.
We got fed regular peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and milk, or cheese sandwiches. They kept telling us court would be open until 1:00 AM and then we could leave. No one told us it was the weekend and court closed at 11:00 PM. By the time we could go, the judge had left already.
Then we were transported to corrections and we were searched again – this time through metal detectors. We went to prison in chain link cuffs, as if we were real prisoners instead of just protestors. After that, we were put in correction cells. By then, we knew we were staying overnight. And they separated the males and the females.
We found out later in the evening that these white coats – and this is something you should emphasize – these white coats are hired by these banks, and that's why they're more violent than regular cops. They have jurisdiction to do a lot of things because they are hired by these banks to protect these banks.
There are a ridiculous amount of undercover cops within the Occupy Wall Street movement that are making things less safe. There will be a mic check about how to stay safe, stay out of traffic, and the undercover cops interfere, lead people in the wrong way, in ways that are illegal, and get them sent to prison. You saw this in Times Square.
Thrasher: How did you actually get out of custody?
Garrett: It was a long process, because the white coats in charge delayed the process. The next day, they decided not to take any prisoners to court until after the judge's lunch, which ended at 6:30. So we were in holding from 11:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
Then, literally, my hearing took five minutes.
Thrasher: Were you processed alone?
Garrett: We were processed with our arresting officer, me and three other people.
Thrasher: Did you make bail then, or were you just processed?
Garrett: I was processed. We could plead guilty – it was basically a plea bargain. But, since I have video of the entire situation, I pleaded not guilty.
Thrasher: Is that video up online yet?
Garrett: It's still on my phone. It shows the way we were behaving in the bank, the way things were said.
Thrasher: Are you going to put it up in You Tube?
Garrett: I haven't decided yet. I would like to, but I want to think about it before putting it up. It does show the entire thing.
The process of getting out was quite long, tedious, and clearly political. We were not able to get our stuff until [Monday] morning, because the place where they were keeping our things was locked. And, a few protestors had things taken from them. One lost a $1,500 camera. Someone else, a few people, lost their cell phones. Luckily, I got everything back.
Me and my friend, we got arrested together. I couldn't go home [without keys] and I had to stay at her place. This morning, we went and got our stuff. We both had all of our things. But we knew people who didn't get all of their items.
Thrasher: Are you going to go back and get in on the Occupy Wall Street action, now that you're out?
Garrett: Yes, I am. Now, it means more than ever. Seeing the inner workings, and seeing how silly some of these arrests were, and just being able to be in a state to take action, it's important for me to keep doing this. This is affecting so many people.
I'm not trying to get arrested again, though, having seen how they treat people. I don't want our movement to be a movement of pity, or where we try to play the victim. We do try to get things done for the greater good of everyone. But I am trying to get the word our there to clarify what happened.
